Kate Mara is heartbroken over the New York Giants benching Eli Manning.
The A-list actress star of House of Cards and Megan Leavey, also, part of the lineage of Giants ownership was expectedly devastated when she found out the two-time Super Bowl winning QB was being benched in favor of Geno freaking Smith.

It’s easy to understand her sentiment. Mara’s family has had their most successful run in their franchise’s history with Eli behind the helm. It’s hard to walk away from that. Even from afar, somewhat separate from the NFL, Mara’s got more than a rooting interest in seeing her team succeed. Justifiably sucky.
But hey, Kate, at least Smith will save the day.
