Miami Dolphins star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has a history of serious head injuries that cost him a significant chunk of the 2022 season, and he suffered another major head injury during Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, sparking concern from opposing quarterback Josh Allen.
During an interview after the game, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen said that he would be praying for Tua Tagovailoa after the devastating injury, calling him “one of the best humans on the planet.”
“If you know Tua outside of football, like you do, like I do, you can’t help but feel for him,” Allen said after the game according to Pro Football TAlk. “He’s a great football player but he’s an even greater human being. He’s one of the best humans on the planet. I’ve got a lot of love for him, and I’m just praying for him and his family and hoping everything is OK. It’s tough. This game of football that we play, it’s got its highs and it’s got its lows, and that’s definitely one of the lows.”
The severity of the head injury was not immediately clear, but Tagovailoa did not return to the game on Thursday night.
