On Monday afternoon, United States President Joe Biden welcomed the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to the White House to celebrate their championship. And during their visit, the president had some high praise for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
During his speech on Monday afternoon, Joe Biden reflected on the young career of Patrick Mahomes which is already full of accomplishments, and offered a prediction that Mahomes will ultimately finish his career as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
“With 200 million people watching — yet another thrilling game — you beat the [Philadelphia] Eagles, becoming Super Bowl champs again. It’s no surprise, you’ve got a young quarterback named Patrick. The boy can play, man,” he said. “Two-time MVP, the comeback king – the only player in history with a winning record when down by 10 points or more.
President Joe Biden: "The Chiefs not only hold the title, but are building a dynasty… We saw (Patrick Mahomes) play with an ankle sprain, another legendary chapter in the story of one of the greatest QBs of his generation, and I predict any generation." #ChiefsKingdom @KCTV5 pic.twitter.com/J1flcFo4W5

“We saw him play with that high ankle sprain, another legendary story of one of the greatest quarterbacks of his generation — and, I predict, of any generation.”
At just 27 years old, Mahomes still has plenty of years to add to his accomplishments and prove Biden correct. And based on what he’s done already in his career, Biden’s prediction certainly isn’t out of the question.
