Tuesday marked the start of the NFL’s free agency period, but the biggest news of the day may have been a trade that sent Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Saints will be receiving center Max Unger from the Seahawks. Seattle will also send its first round pick to the Saints in exchange for New Orleans’ fourth-rounder.

The Seahawks clearly needed to upgrade their passing game and Graham is one of the best receiving tight ends in the NFL. However, giving up Unger is a steep price to pay, especially given the inconsistency that often plagued Seattle’s offensive line last season.
At the very least, Seahawks fans can celebrate knowing that they’ve acquired one guy who can help bring the topic of basketball back to Seattle.
