Jim Harbaugh is one of the most accomplished coaches in all of football after leading the Michigan Wolverines to a College Football Playoff national title and becoming the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, where he’ll pursue a Super Bowl title. And he knows exactly who he has to thank for everything: his parents.
During his introductory press conference, Jim Harbaugh shared a clear and touching message to his parents, telling everyone just how lucky he feels to have been blessed with two parents like his.
“I would not be here without my parents, Jack Harbaugh and Jackie Harbaugh, my mom. Talking about moms, who was just the best. I did nothing to be born into that family. Just luck. My name should be Lucky. How’d you get so lucky? Lucky. That’s how I feel,” Harbaugh said in his press conference, via Peter King in his Football Morning in America column.
Harbaugh’s parents have supported him throughout his entire football journey and were even there to celebrate as he led Michigan to a national championship. Now, they’ll support him in Los Angeles as he pursues a Lombardi Trophy as the next head coach of the Chargers.
