After leading the Michigan Wolverines to their first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship earlier this month, Jim Harbaugh is now ready to chase a Super Bowl championship with the Los Angeles Chargers. And as he prepares to take over as the team’s next head coach, he revealed his first message to the team.
Jim Harbaugh was in attendance for Sunday afternoon’s showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens in support of his brother John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Ravens. And before the game, Jim Harbaugh joined the CBS broadcast to discuss his move to the Los Angeles Chargers.
As Harbaugh spoke, he opened up about what his first message would be to his new team – and he said he would likely reference the game between the Chiefs and the Ravens that was about to be played.

“I’ll tell you what, I’m probably going to reference this right here,” Harbaugh said, referencing the game between the Ravens and Chiefs that was about to be played. “We work together. We win together. And it’s worth it – the hard work, the sacrifice, the pressure, all of it. Why would somebody put themselves through that? Because the rewards are just so darn good. And you can see that today, and what a football game we’re going to have today.”
We’ll have to see how the team responds to meeting Harbaugh for the first time.
