With former Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh taking over as the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, he and star quarterback Justin Herbert will undoubtedly be beginning a partnership together. But it sounds like there were some nerves when the two first met – but not from whom you might expect.
During an interview with CBS ahead of Sunday afternoon’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, Jim Harbaugh had some high praise for the leaders of the Chargers franchise, including Justin Herbert.
“Susie Spanos, Dean Spanos, Ed McGuire, John Spanos, and this great quarterback,” Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh revealed that he has indeed met with Herbert since he accepted the position with the Los Angeles Chargers, and he had a pretty surprising message for the star quarterback, admitting that he was a little intimidated to meet him.

“I met him,” Harbaugh said. “I was a little star-struck to meet Justin.”
Obviously, it would be best for Harbaugh to put his intimidation aside as quickly as possible as the two of them will undoubtedly be working together quite closely over the next few months as they prepare for the first season of the Harbaugh era in Los Angeles.
We’ll have to see what sort of a dynamic duo the two become over the next few years.
