Between Michael Vick and Geno Smith, the New York Jets have struggled at the quarterback position.
So, it may not come as much of a surprise that the Jets went into Monday night aiming to run the ball. What might have caught some off-guard was the Jets’ willingness to use their wide receivers as rushers, including Greg Salas.
Midway through the first quarter, the Jets found themselves at the Dolphins’ 20 yard line thanks to a phenomenal 47 yard run by Chris Johnson. Seeing as how that rushing attempt went well, the Jets went with the ground game again on the next play.

The Jets called the end-around and it worked to perfection despite the fact that the Jets showed no inclination that they were looking to throw the ball at all.
It’s probably not how Greg Salas envisioned his first career touchdown but the 2011 draft pick will definitely take it after waiting so many years.
