Dallas Cowboys superstar wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not with the team as they begin training camp as holds out while seeking a new contract from the team. But it doesn’t sound like team owner Jerry Jones is all that worried about his absence or holdout.
During a press conference on Thursday, Dallas Cowboys team owner and general manager Jerry Jones was asked about the contract situation regarding CeeDee Lamb and his subsequent holdout, but he made it pretty clear that he is not concerned about it.
Jones said that holdouts like this situation “happens all over the league” and said that he will not get “bent out of shape” about Lamb’s choice not to attend training camp while seeking a new contract.
“I don’t flare when it’s happening to us. I’m aware that we want to get these guys to camp. Business as usual . . . I’m used to this, I can live with this,” Jones said according to Pro Football Talk.
While Jones is keeping his cool about the situation, the Cowboys are in a pretty difficult predicament with Lamb, Micah Parsons, and Dak Prescott needing contract extensions around the same time. We’ll have to see how he handles it.
