The Dallas Cowboys are in trouble of having their season fall apart due to major injuries on the defensive front.
Star linebacker Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence both suffered injuries in the Cowboys’ victory over the New York Giants. Unfortunately for Dallas, both Parsons and Lawrence are expected to miss some time with the injuries, with Lawrence’s believed to be the more severe of the two.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones initially insisted that the team would rely on its young talent to step up and embody the “next man up” mentality that nearly every football team claims to have.
“We’re fortunate to have these young guys to step up here,” Jones said about the Cowboys’ injury situation, according to On3.
Now it appears Jones has realized that’s not in the Cowboys’ beset interests.
Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram has reported that the Cowboys are making a move to shore up their defensive line.
“The (Dallas Cowboys) are expected to finalize a deal with DE K.J. Henry, according to a source close to the situation. Henry, who is being poached from the Bengals practice squad, was a 2023 fifth-round pick for the Commanders and has experience with DL coach Jeff Zgonina,” Harris reported on Twitter.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of impact Henry makes, as the Cowboys look to avoid falling too far behind the red-hot Wahington Commanders in the NFC East race.
