Last week’s game against the Chicago Bears was certainly not the best performance from Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff as he threw three interceptions in the win. But thankfully for him, he won’t have long to dwell on the disappointing performance.
After the near-loss to the Bears on Sunday, the Lions now have a short week as they will take on the Green Bay Packers in their traditional Thanksgiving Day game. And while a short week might be seen as a negative by most players, Goff is just happy to be able to get right back out there after a disappointing performance on Sunday.
“It does help to be able to play so quickly now and be able to hopefully go into the weekend with, obviously a win, but a good taste in your mouth for how you played as well,” Goff said according to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News. “So yeah, I’d love to come out this week and play well and get a W and be able to put that one behind me.”
The Lions are currently 8-2 and lead the NFC North division. They’ll look to keep that strong season going this week with a win against the Green Bay Packers.
