It’s not everyday Adam Schefter gets scooped. It happened today, though.

Today at 1:35 p.m. (just seconds later)
Jamaal Charles and the #Chiefs have struck a deal, source says. He’s heading to camp now. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) July 23, 2014
That has to be the fastest holdout in NFL history. Though, Charles might disagree…
I had no intention on holding out…I just ran out of gas on the way to camp and my cell phone battery died. It was a long walk I tell ya.

According to Rapoport, it’s a two-year extension for Charles worth about $18 million in new money. Good for him and good for Rapoport.
Schefter, we still love you and trust you. It’s only preseason.
