The Philadelphia Eagles are firing on all cylinders right now.
The Eagles defeated the Los Angeles Rams 37-20 on Sunday night to win their seventh game in a row. One major reason for the Eagles’ recent run of success has been the connection between quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown.
On Sunday Brown registered six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Hurts did not hold back on praising his receiver after the game.
“He’s just showing up,” Hurts said, according to Pro Football Talk.
“He’s showing up, and I think we’re all playing complimentary ball and all the different things we’re able to do offensively.
“That was a hell of a game from him being able to show up in some of those moments and to be able to go out there and do that without our guy DeVonta Smith, who we missed.
“But everybody is just showing up and take advantage of the opportunities, and A.J. made some hell-of-a plays, made a great move in open field, and he’s doing what he does.”
If the Eagles can keep up their current level of play, with Brown being a threat downfield while running back Saquon Barkley forces teams to load up against the run, there’s no reason Philadelphia can’t secure its second Super Bowl title.
