The Philadelphia Eagles are in a two-horse race for the number one overall seed in the NFC.
Philadelphia managed to defeat their in-state rival Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13 on Sunday to improve to 12-2 on the season, putting them in a two-way tie with the Detroit Linos.
Unfortunately, the Eagles are going to have to navigate some treacherous waters down the home stretch of the season.
It was reported before Sunday’s game that star quarterback Jalen Hurts has a broken finger.
“Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has a broken finger on his non-throwing hand, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported,” tweeted one Steelers-centric Twitter account.

Luckily the injury is on Hurts’ non-throwing hand, but it could still complicate things for Philadelphia if the injury worsens down the stretch. Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Eagles fans gonna compare this to Kobe shooting free throws on a torn Achilles,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“won’t affect him, he is just handing the ball off either way,” one fan added.
“Non throwing hand so it wont impact passes, but those snaps could hurt,” another fan added.
“hurts is out here playing with one hand and still might throw more touchdowns than half the league,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Hurts can stay healthy enough for the Eagles to make a deep playoff run.
