The Jacksonville Jaguars had an extremely disappointing season despite entering the year excited about what they’d be able to accomplish under emerging quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence and the Jags finished the season 4-13 and head coach Doug Pederson was let go shortly after the final whistle sounded on Jacksonville’s season.
The Jags have since begun looking for the right person to get things back on track. According to one prominent league insider, Jacksonville is moving forward with the necessary steps to hire one highly coveted name in this coaching cycle.
“Jaguars have requested an interview with Brian Flores for their Head Coach vacancy,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“for some reason this feels like a dolphins round two. thought jaguars would want an offensive minded head coach when they’re in sunny florida. Flores gives me more old school Jets or Chicago bears vibes. Defense, cold weather, hard nose football,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I hope he learned from his previous mistakes. He’s not a bad coach, I think he could help turn the ship around,” one fan added.
“That is soo Jacksonville Jaguars. After all the weird head coaches Trevor Lawrence has had they are considering Brian Flores. Bad organizations don’t learn!” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Flores gets the job and returns to Florida after an ugly exit from Miami.
