J.J. Watt who is the ridiculously athletic defensive end for the Houston Texans organized and participated in the J.J. Watt Charity Classic over the weekend and it was a great success. The event raised over $300,000 which will go towards funding athletic programs for kids. The Houston Texans played a softball game during the event which pitted the offensive squad versus the defensive. J.J. took the opportunity to fake charge the mound after a brush back, and the fans were delighted.
“I know I’ve lived a fortunate life,” Watt said. ”I know I’ve been able to do a lot of great things in this world, I’ve been given a lot of great gifts. I want to be able to share that. i know that not everybody was as fortunate as I was growing up, so I want to help everybody get the same opportunities I had because i think it’s only fair if we all get the same opportunity.”
Watt has a pretty incredible track record of being a nice guy which include fake proposing to a young fan, bringing some holiday cheer to Newtown, CT, or just smashing home runs during batting practice to give fans a show.
