Last season, C.J. Stroud had arguably the most dominant and impressive rookie season of any quarterback in NFL history to begin what looks like a bright future in the league. After Stroud proved himself last season, the Houston Texans have spent the offseason trying to surround him with talent, and they took a huge step in that regard this week.
As first reported by league insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Houston Texans acquired superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills, giving C.J. Stroud one of the top wide receivers in the entire league.
“Blockbuster: Bills are finalizing a trade to send four-time Pro-Bowl WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft-pick compensation, sources tell ESPN,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This is obviously a big move for Stroud as he now has a top-tier veteran wide receiver to throw to after already establishing himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the entire league as just a rookie.
Diggs has put up six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and has established himself as one of the most consistent and dominant receivers in the entire league the past few seasons.
We’ll have to see how he performs teaming up with Stroud.
