I dare you to watch this and not shed a tear. O.J. Brigance, who was a former special teams player for the Baltimore Ravens was diagnosed in 2007 with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease for which there is still no cure. The crippling disease took away O.J.’s ability to use his limbs, and even speak. The touching video below highlights how Brigance inspires the Baltimore Ravens every day and highlights his battle with ALS while continuing to work in the front office.
“Through the triumphs there has come a greater confidence and through the challenges has come a greater clarity of purpose.” – O.J. Brigance
