Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft suffered quite an unfortunate setback this week when he tore his pectoral during a workout with the team. And based on his description, it sounds like it was a particularly gruesome injury.
During a recent interview with SI.com, Tucker Kraft explained the injury, saying that he wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary during a weightlifting session when the muscle simply “popped right off the bone.
“Just a regular lift,” Kraft said according to SI.com. “It was my last rep of the day on bench. Nothing crazy, not heavy weight. We were speed-benching and it just popped right off the bone.”
Obviously, this rather graphic description of the brutal injury led to a lot of reactions on social media.
Bench press is the most useless overvalued movement, there is no need to bench press and it always puts you at risk for a pec tear or shoulder injury

Obviously, an injury like this caused some frustration to Kraft as he heads into his second season after a very promising rookie year with the Packers.
“I’m just ready to take off in this league and establish myself as a football player, really. That’s where my frustration lies,” Kraft said.
But the good news is that even though the injury certainly sounds terrible, it sounds like he is still hopeful he’ll be back by the start of the season.
