It’s no secret that the New York Jets struggled on the field this season on the offensive side of the ball, especially after future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury in the first game of the season. And Jets superstar wide receiver Garrett Wilson didn’t mince words when discussing how hard this year was.
During a press conference this week, Garrett Wilson claimed that “football hasn’t been this hard” at any point in his career before joining the Jets. He made it clear that while he may have had a strong season individually, he is certainly not happy with the way the team performed this year.
“I hear I had a good year? It was the worst year of my life,” Wilson said according to Antwan Staley.

Wilson actually did have a strong season individually, accounting for over 1,000 receiving yards. But he clearly was not happy with the way the team performed, and he vowed to never let that happen again.
“What happened this season can’t happen again,” Wilson said according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. “It’s got to be better. We’ve got to make adjustments in the game. We’ve got to do things to counter what we’re getting and be able to put points on the board, because in the two years I’ve been here, honestly, it’s been tough. It’s been tough going.”
