The Jacksonville Jaguars hit a new low on Sunday.
The Jaguars lost 52-6 to the Detroit Lions, the worst loss in franchise history, and now there’s even worse news per one NFL insider.
“Jaguars standout WR Gabe Davis, is believed to have suffered a meniscus tear on Sunday, per me and (Tom Pelissero). They are still assessing the injury, but Davis is expected to have surgery. During the procedure, doctors will determine if it’s a full repair or just a trim,” reported Ian Rapoport on Monday.
Rapoport followed up with details on what surgery would mean.
“A full meniscus repair, which is often the option chosen, would knock Gabe Davis out for the season but is usually best for long-term health. A meniscus trim would likely land Davis on IR, but mean he could return this season.”

Fans reacted to the brutal news on social media.
“Long-term health has to be a priority for the players. The Jags are going nowhere so anything short of full repair seems idiotic,” one fan said on Twitter.
“He should worry about his long term health. His coming back early would not affect the Jags season in any way,” added a fan.
“Been trash all season. Drops a lot of passes. Tried to get froggy and argue with Trevor wk2 and then kept getting worse and dropped more passes. Trade or cut that bum in the off season,” one fan added.
“Don’t sacrifice long term health to return to this mess,” added a fan.
“Why would he come back to a 2-13 team?” one fan wanted to know.
Hopefully, Davis can make a full recovery.
