Owners of Both Jamaal Charles and Doug Martin
Unfortunately for Charles owners, this is the second straight appearance on the screwed list for the now-injured Kansas City running back. Following a miserable Week 1 in which he only received 11 touches for 34 total yards, Charles failed to rebound as he gained 12 total yards before exiting with a high ankle sprain, an injury that should keep him out for at least a couple weeks, if not longer.
Many fantasy owners likely tabbed Charles with their first selection in the first round then took a risk on the injury-prone and inconsistent Doug Martin in the second round. Those owners are probably 0-2 and living a nightmare start to 2014. Martin was pathetically ineffective in Week 1 then missed Sunday’s tilt with a mysterious knee injury.
Martin was a risky pick, unless you took him as a flier pick in the 4th or later, therefore it’s tough to roll out the red carpet for his owners, but an early-round selection that has 0.9 points on the season is atrocious.
