The Detroit Lions are having yet another highly disappointing season, sitting in last place in the NFC North with a 4-7 record. Detroit is 1-4 over their last five games, and get to play the juggernaut Los Angeles Rams in Week 13 (the Lions are a 10-point underdog… at home).
The Lions haven’t won a playoff game since the 1991 NFC Divisional Playoffs, and that’s their only playoff win in the last 61 seasons (so, 62 barring a miracle now). They’re the only NFC franchise to never play in the Super Bowl.
And on Monday night, Alex Trebek and Jeopardy! even trolled the Lions.
In a “Predictions by 2030” category, the Lions were the answer to this clue:
“As of 2018, this NFC North team had never even made the Super Bowl, much less won it, but by 2030? Gotta happen, right?”
Here’s video:
Hey, at least there’s some optimism involved! Maybe the Lions can indeed win a title by 2030. But things certainly don’t look great for Detroit in the short term.
