As the Detroit Lions made their dominant run through the regular season and the postseason all the way to the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, Grammy-winning rapper Marshall Mathers, also known as Eminem, was one of their biggest supporters as a Detroit native. And he was quite happy with some news the team got this week.
It was widely expected that Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson would be leaving the team to become the head coach of a different team, but when that didn’t happen, Eminem sent a pretty clear message to Johnson, head coach Dan Campbell, and all Detroit Lions fans.
“Guess I should stop recording this diss track..!! Lol!! @ Ben Johnson Thank you for staying!!! We can’t break this team up ESPECIALLY since I’M on it!!! Coach Campbell we love you bro!!! Let’s run it back next year!!…I’m READY!!!! I promise you I WILL get us to the super bowl!!!” Eminem said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

The Lions were just one win away from making the Super Bowl this year, and it sounds like Eminem expects them to get back to this stage next season.
We’ll have to see if they can do it.
