Jalen Hurts remains in concussion protocol as the Philadelphia Eagles turn to the postseason.

The Eagles have been one of the NFL’s best this season. But while the Eagles took the NFC East Division, and while they’re one of the league’s most talented teams, it’s unclear where their quarterback stands.

Hurts still remains in concussion protocol after suffering the injury on December 22 against the Washington Commanders. Kenny Pickett stood in for the Eagles in his absence. Concerns remain about Hurts’ status going forward.

“Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts remains in concussion protocol, coach Nick Sirianni said Monday. That’s all Sirianni would allow about Hurts’ health,” Pro Football Talk wrote on the news Monday.

Hurts this season has 2,903 passing yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Additionally, he has 150 rush attempts, 630 yards, and 14 rushing touchdowns. He’s scored double-digit rushing touchdowns in each of the last four seasons.

As he goes, so do the Eagles. While Philly boasts NFL MVP candidate Saquon Barkley, they’ll need much more to make a run this month.

So for their sake, Hurts will come out of protocol soon enough and return to form.

The Eagles will open their race to the Super Bowl in on Wild Card Weekend. Philadelphia will host the Green Bay Packers, who finished third in the ultra-competitive NFC North Division this season.
