The Philadelphia Eagles had one of the most shocking losses in recent memory on Monday night.
After star running back Saquon Barkley had a shocking drop, the Atlanta Falcons marched down the field to score the game-winning touchdown. The Eagles’ defense has been under fire ever since.
One question many are asking is why former all-pro linebacker Devin White didn’t play in the game despite not being injured.
White addressed the situation on Wednesday when speaking with the media.
“Maybe it’s about how you respond,” White said, in a video shared to X by Eliot Shorr-Parks . “How you handle yourself because that’s the only thing I can control. I can’t put myself in the game but I can control my attitude, my health, every practice, and just my swagger in the building. Still come here every day like a pro and handle my business.
“I got a son. He can cry when he doesn’t get his way. That’s for him to do not me, I have to set the example.”
It seems like White is handling the situation well, despite not being a part of the action in the early part of the season.
Maybe it’s time for the Eagles to revisit their decision not to play White before their defense costs them a spot in the playoffs.
