The Philadelphia Eagles have made one of the most shocking moves of the NFL season. NFL insider Ari Meirov reported on Tuesday that Philadelphia is deciding to release former pro-bowler and Super Bowl champion linebacker Devin White in his first season with the Eagles.
“The (Eagles) are releasing LB Devin White. He has not played in a game this season and will now become a free agent,” Meirov shared on Twitter.

This is a shocking move, considering the Eagles’ defense has been the team’s weakness so far this season, and the first-place team in their division, the Washington Commanders, has displayed a lethal offense. Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.
“Good. Let heads roll. What a complete WHIFF this one was. I really thought he’d emerge as a leader for us and he fell flat on his buns. No hate in my heart but nothin to love either,” one fan said on Twitter.
“Better not see a single packers fan saying to pick him up no matter what our current ILB situation is,” someone added.
“Howie needs to stop getting his players from twitter,” one fan said.
“Im so serious when I say the Rams need to sign him despite how trash he is he’s an NFL athlete which we don’t have at the position currently,” another person wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see where White falls. Someone with his pedigree isn’t likely to remain a free agent for long.
