The Philadelphia Eagles improved to 9-2 with a 37-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
But it wasn’t all good news for Philadelphia, with defensive end Brandon Graham suffering a torn triceps injury, which is expected to bring an end to his 2024 season.
The 36-year-old suffered the injury when he was chipped by a running back in the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ win, which came on Sunday Night Football. Despite the disappointing diagnosis, Graham vowed to remain a leader for his team moving forward this season.
“I’m making sure I’m having the best attitude I can have,” Graham said, according to NBC Sports Philadelphia. “I’m sure I’m gonna cry about it. But it ain’t going to be too long and then I’m gonna move on to ‘How can I help my team from the sidelines?’ That’s the biggest thing I can do.”
Graham’s injury came in the same game he moved into third place on the Eagles’ all-time sack list (76.5), trailing only Reggie White and Trent Cole. Originally selected in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the former Michigan star has spent his entire 15-year career in Philadelphia, where he has been a cornerstone of the Eagles’ defense.

As for what’s next, Graham didn’t rule out the possibility that the torn triceps won’t just end his season, but also his NFL career.
“I don’t want to go out like this but if it’s pointing toward that, hey, we’ll see,” he said. “I don’t know what the team is going to be feeling at that time. But I know for me, I don’t want to go out like this. I definitely want to be able to finish a whole season before I’m done.
“But if that ain’t in the cards, I’m content with where I’m at too. I’m just not there yet. I’m like let’s finish this and let’s see how rehab is going and then we’ll go from there.”
He later added: “No sense in crying about it. I put everything into it. It hurts, but I’m telling you, I’m going to be better from it.”
