Sometimes people tend to forget that NFL players have lives outside of football. Unfortunately, when this happens the public is usually only reminded when something terrible happens.
That’s just what happened on Friday when some terrible news shook up the NFL community.
“With DJ Johnson out after he was involved in a car accident, Panthers thin at OLB. Clowney, Wonnum, Cam Gill, and practice squaders Thomas Incoom and Kenny Dyson,” reported Darin Gantt on Friday.

Fans reacted to the devastating news on social media.
“Johnson’s absence creates a gap in the Panthers’ defensive line, potentially impacting their ability to pressure Tampa Bay’s offense. For a team already navigating a challenging season, losing a key contributor adds another layer of adversity,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Jeez hope he’s ok,” one fan added.
“what’s up with the Panthers and car accidents?” one fan wanted to know, referencing how veteran quarterback Andy Dalton lost his role as the team’s starter to second-year player Bryce Young after suffering an injury in a car accident earlier in the season.
It’ll be interesting to see where the Panthers franchise goes from here. Car accident luck inside, some major things will need to be changed in the offseason for the franchise to turn things around.
