If the in-state rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets wasn’t heated enough already, some recent comments from Bills star offensive lineman Dion Dawkins likely added some fuel to the fire.
During a recent appearance on VladTV, Dion Dawkins had a pretty brutal message for the New York Jets, expressing his utter disdain for everyone on the team.
“I hate them, all of them, bro,” Dawkins said according to ESPN. “When it comes to sports, there are people that play the sport because they love the sport. And then there’s people that play the sport just to try to be cool. I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. Those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That’s whack.”
Dawkins’ issue with the Jets seems to stem from an incident with New York Jets defensive end Micheal Clemons during the matchup between the two teams last season. Dawkins claimed that Clemson instigated a postgame scuffle in the tunnel after the Bills’ 32-6 victory over the Jets.
These words should make any future matchups between the two teams quite interesting as long as Dawkins is with the Bills.
