Legendary Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is clearly not in support of transgender athletes.
Last week, women’s boxer Imane Khelif of Algeria sparked debate regarding transgender women in sports after she was allowed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics despite failing gender eligibility tests at the 2023 World Championships. Even though she is not transgender and was born a woman, her presence at the Olympics led many to offer their opinions regarding whether or not transgender women belong in sports. And Dez Bryant made his stance very clear.
“God made you a woman for a reason. God made you a man for a reason. God didn’t put you in a foreign body. Also, Men shouldn’t be able to compete in women divisions. My opinion,” Bryant said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
God made you a woman for a reason
God made you a man for a reason
God didn’t put you in a foreign body
Also
Men shouldn’t be able to compete in women divisions
My opinion

Obviously, these comments from Bryant led to a lot of reactions on social media.
It is really cool how for like a decade plus of the left “caring about feelings too much” conservatives have begun to actively fabricate people to get outraged at https://t.co/q734PXBN0P

Hey Dez, how about you worry about not hitting your mother instead of worrying about Women competing in Women’s sports https://t.co/TBebrdcZKa

You don't speak for God. You don't get to have a voice on this topic.
I'm ashamed to have ever worked under this man…
Y'all are cool over there at @personalcorner with transphobia? https://t.co/19MBeWdCOr

Conservatives are obsessed with policing gender because they want to establish a specificity to the group that they have the right to perpetrate violence against. https://t.co/G1EhatZNhB

Before spreading misinformation or creating a false narrative that targets trans people, please take a moment to check the facts and simply do some research. She was assigned female at birth and continues to identify as female. https://t.co/KvbCxyIRZP

Bryant spent eight seasons with the Cowboys from 2010 to 2017 where he made the Pro Bowl three times, leading the NFL in touchdown receptions in 2014. During that time, he emerged as one of the most popular and recognizable athletes in the entire league. He has not played in the NFL since the 2020 season when he appeared in six games with the Baltimore Ravens.
