It sounds like legendary Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is taking a stand against transgender athletes.
Last week, Women’s boxer Imane Khelif of Algeria was allowed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics despite failing gender eligibility tests at the 2023 World Championships. Even though she is not transgender and was born a woman, her presence at the Olympics re-ignited debate regarding transgender women in sports, and Dez Bryant clearly does not support trans athletes in sports.
“God made you a woman for a reason. God made you a man for a reason. God didn’t put you in a foreign body. Also, Men shouldn’t be able to compete in women divisions. My opinion,” Bryant said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Bryant spent eight seasons with the Cowboys from 2010 to 2017 where he made the Pro Bowl three times, leading the NFL in touchdown receptions in 2014. During that time, he emerged as one of the most popular and recognizable athletes in the entire league.
Bryant has not played in the NFL since the 2020 season when he appeared in six games with the Baltimore Ravens, catching just six passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
