Deshaun Watson’s tenure with the Cleveland Browns has been an abject disaster thus far. Watson has struggled to remain healthy in Cleveland, and when he has been available he’s struggled to look like the Pro-Bowler from his days in Houston.

Watson’s 2024 season was cut short when he ruptured his Achilles against the Browns’ division rival Cincinnati Bengals. It was a high-tension moment for the franchise, as fans cheered while Watson was being carted off the field, leading to a major schism between the players and the fanbase.

Unfortunately for Watson, things have just gotten even worse, per one prominent NFL insider.

Sources: (Browns) QB Deshaun Watson ruptured his Achilles again, further testing showed, and he had another surgery on Thursday to repair it. Less than 3 months after the original tear, it happened again. Watson faces a longer road back, and now he could miss all of 2025,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“Man it’s sad how things have turned out for him. Was an excellent prospect coming out of college, elevated those Texans teams just to have his career hit a complete halt,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Don’t wish anything bad on the man, but for the Brown’s organization and how they ran Baker out of town, this is satisfying to watch for them,” one fan added.

“This happened to my brother in law. He tore his Achilles jumping off a boat and landing on a dock, refused PT, and didn’t follow the directions of the doctors on taking it easy. A few months later he ruptured it again,” added someone else.

“Might be time to throw in the towel. Find it very hard to believe he’ll be able to come back and fully function to the standards he should for that contract,” one fan added.

“Sucks because he’s a human being and an athlete but also don’t expect people to take a moral high ground and feel bad based on all his accusations,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if this ends Watson’s career.
