Last month, the Cleveland Browns traded for former Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and it sounds like star quarterback Deshaun Watson is pretty happy about the new weapon.
During a recent interview at the opening of his new restaurant in Cleveland, Deshaun Watson said that “it was amazing” for the Browns to add Jerry Jeudy, revealing that he knew for a while that Cleveland Browns General Manager Andrew Berry was looking to trade for Jeudy and that he was happy the deal finally got done.
“It took a little minute, [but] he got it done,” Watson said according to Camryn Justice of WEWS. “And I think he’s going to be a great addition with Amari [Cooper] and Elijah [Moore]. Those three guys have already been together this offseason — very similar types of guys from the same, similar area.
“So, it’s going to be fun to be able to toss the ball around to those guys.”
Last season, Jeduy finished the year with 54 receptions for 758 yards with two touchdowns. We’ll have to see what kind of production Jeudy is able to have in the Browns offense this upcoming season and beyond as he’s locked into the team until the 2027 season.
