It’s safe to say that last year did not go the way Derek Carr or the New Orleans Saints had hoped on the offensive side of the ball, leading the team to bring in new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. And it sounds like Carr is expecting some changes this season.
During a recent interview, Derek Carr made it clear that he expects the New Orleans Saints offense to “look different” this upcoming season.
“Just the way the game is called, the way they do things, it’s going to look different to our fans,” Carr said according to Matthew Paras of NOLA.com. “From what they’re used to, from what I was used to last year. It’s going to look different, it’s going to feel different, but I think it’s going to be great. It’s good for our guys to help us play fast as just individuals and as a collective unit. So I’m excited about it.”
Carr said that he wants to make sure that he is as prepared as possible for the upcoming season in the new offense because “our city, our team, our organization deserve that out of me.” So it will certainly be interesting to see how Carr and the team perform next season.
