Superstar wide receiver Davante Adams has never been shy about voicing his frustration and criticism of the team, but that doesn’t mean that he wants to be anywhere else.
This week, Davante Adams made it very clear that he wants to remain a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, pointing out that if he didn’t want to remain in Vegas he would not still be with the team at this point.
“If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now,” Adams said on Sunday according to Tashan Reed of The Athletic. “This is where I want to be.”
A big reason why Adams is content staying with the team is due to the decision to hire interim coach Antonio Pierce as the team’s full-time head coach this offseason.
“It’s already helped the morale of the team,” Adams said of Las Vegas hiring Pierce. “It’s what we were all looking for: To be able to continue with the same mindset that we had. That’s our guy. We’ve got to get to work now. … It’s about what we go out there and do.”
Adams will be back and the team will be under the leadership of Pierce. We’ll have to see how they perform this upcoming season.
