Davante Adams left the Green Bay Packes to join the Las Vegas Raiders, he thought the team’s quarterback play would be better than it turned out. And while he doesn’t necessarily regret leaving to join the Raiders, it sounds like he sure would prefer to play for Jordan Love.
During an appearance on The Rush podcast with Raiders teammate Maxx Crosby, Davante Adams said that while he is satisfied with his decision to leave Green Bay, he is “super proud” of what Jordan Love has done with the Packers so far and would love to bring him over to the Raiders if he could.
“In hindsight, like we talked about, the kid is a [freaking] baller, man. I’m so happy for him,” Adams said according to Pro Football Talk. “I haven’t had the chance to truly sit down and talk with him, but I want to tell him at some point ‘I definitely don’t regret changing, but I’m super proud of what you’ve done. If there was a way I could pull you over here and drag you with me that would have been cool too.’ Because, obviously, we saw what he did at the end of the year. I don’t regret what I did, but, at the same time, it’s definitely you look back on it like ‘[dang] that boy kind of balling right now.’”
Obviously, it’s early in his career, but Love is certainly off to a good start.
