Dak Prescott is set for a major payday in the near future as he is in the last year of his contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Whether he signs another deal with the Cowboys or goes elsewhere as a free agent, he will certainly be getting a pretty massive contract. But it doesn’t sound like he’s motivated by the money.
During a recent press conference, Dak Prescott made it very clear that money is not the reason why he plays the game.
“I don’t play for money. Never have and never cared, to be honest with you,” Prescott said according to Patrik Walker of the Dallas Cowboys team website. “I would give it up to just play this game. I’ll leave that to the business people to say what it’s worth and what they’re supposed to give a quarterback of my play, a person of my play and a leader of my [caliber]. I’ll control what I can control, and the rest will take care of itself.”
Obviously, that’s a pretty bold statement from Prescott, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Whether or not it’s what drives him, Prescott will certainly get a hefty sum of money.
