The Indianapolis Colts were all over the place this season. They played hot potato with the quarterback position this season between young quarterback Anthony Richardson and veteran Joe Flacco and ultimately lost an embarrassing game to the New York Giants, knocking them out of playoff contention in the closing weeks of the season.
On Monday morning, the Colts released a statement saying that head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chirs Ballard would both retain their roles heading into next season. However, it appears that consistency wasn’t meant for everyone on staff.
Later in the day, Colts owner Jim Irsay announced that the franchise was moving on from its defensive coordinator.
“We have parted ways with DC Gus Bradley,” Irsay revealed in a tweet on Monday evening.

Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.
“If you’re serious about changing things up then everyone should be on your list and you should do anything and everything to get the right guy! NOT SOMEONE WHOS BUDDY BUDDY WITH BALLARD!” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“When the house is on fire it makes sense to repaint the bedroom,” one fan added sarcastically.
“If u aren’t going to let go of Ballard without AR / Steichen as well then this is best case scenario,” another fan added.
“I’ll be parting ways with you and the Colts team if Ballard is still employed when the 2025 draft begins,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if there are any more casualties in Indianapolis this offseason.
