Last season, rookie wide receiver Tank Dell emerged as one of the favored targets of fellow rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. That connection stalled a bit when Dell saw his season cut short by a broken leg, but it sounds like he’s making some big progress.
During an interview this week, C.J. Stroud gave a pretty major update on how Tank Dell is doing in his injury recovery, making it clear that Dell is progressing well and he’s excited for a second season throwing the ball to the young receiver.
“He looks great,” Stroud said according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC. “He’s gotten a lot better. Mentally, I think for both of us, really all of the rookies coming into Year Two, everything is starting to slow down, and the wheels aren’t turning so much up in your head. You’re starting to play ball. Being able to throw with him in L.A. was really big.”
The Texans also added veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the roster by way of a trade with the Buffalo Bills. We’ll have to see how Dell and Diggs fit into the offense together this upcoming season and what sort of numbers Stroud puts up as a result.
