Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones is in legal hot water once again. The oft-troubled former NFL player was shockingly arrested on an airplane on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City.
Per 700 WLW in Cincinnati, airport police booked Jones in the Boone County Detention Center. Official charges, however, have yet to be filed.
700 WLW noted that Jones “caused a disturbance this September 11th on a plane about to take off from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.”
Local media outlets report that witness videos sent to them show Jones standing in the middle plane aisle and asking police, “Why would I get off?”
Hours before the incident, Jones posted a video to X, formerly known as Twitter, that showed him walking through the airport as he discussed Sunday’s Bengals loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Jones has seemingly put legal issues behind him last season when the Bengals made him “Ruler of the Jungle” for a game. The tradition started in 2021 and features a die-hard Bengals fan or a former Bengals player as “king for the day” during a game.
Jones, who played seven seasons with the Bengals after entering the NFL in 2005, last played with the Denver Broncos in 2018.
