The Colts earned their first win of the season with a fourth-quarter comeback victory over the Titans on Sunday. It’s fair to say it was a big win for an Indy team that struggled mightily out of the gate, but coach Chuck Pagano went as far as to call it the biggest win he’s ever been a part of.

Following the 35-33 win, Pagano gave his team a teary-eyed victory speech that would have made sense after a historic championship comeback. Instead, it took place after a Week 3 contest against a mediocre Tennessee squad. In his speech, which you can watch here, Pagano preached about grit and how the win would remain with him for the rest of his life.

“This is bigger than a football game,” Pagano said. “This is about life and learning lessons about life. You can do anything that you want to do. Anything. You have faith and you have family and you have belief in one another. You have grit and intestinal fortitude and resolve. You got it, kid. Every one of you guys. Big time. That’s as big a win I’ve ever been a part of in my life. I’ll cherish that one for the rest of my life.”

Maybe Pagano was on the hot seat, or he was just being terribly overdramatic. Either way, the Colts still have their work cut out for them as they continued to look well below-average before the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, plus Andrew Luck continues to turn the ball over at an alarming rate.
