The Kansas City Chiefs have heard the noise about officials potentially playing a significant factor in their success. And one Chiefs star is tired of hearing these allegations.

These complaints from fans have been quite constant throughout much of the season. But in the postseason, the discussion about a perceived bias from officials toward the Chiefs has only intensified.

In the Divisional Round against the Houston Texans, several questionable calls were made on what appeared to be legal hits on Patrick Mahomes that played a significant factor in the end result of the game.

While Sunday’s Conference Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills didn’t have as many egregious calls, there were several instances where penalties on the Chiefs were seemingly missed.

Despite the fact that the Chiefs are still very clearly being scrutinized for how their games are officiated, star linebacker Drue Tranquill wants those who are still referencing “ref talk” to “kick rocks”.

“Shoutout to the Buffalo Bills,” wrote Tranquill in a post on X. “Heck of a battle. The rest of y’all can take all that ‘ref’ talk & kick rocks. We stand on business!!”

Say what you will about the officiating in Chiefs games this season. But the organization is well on their way to their third straight Super Bowl championship, which is something no organization has ever done.

Clearly, the Chiefs aren’t bothered with how they are perceived by NFL fans moving forward. But moving forward, it sure seems like the organization isn’t going to be the fan favorite in Super Bowl LIX.
