Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is currently seeking a new contract from the team as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal and fifth-year option. But as he seeks that contract, he has decided that he will not be taking part in team activities until the deal is done.
CeeDee Lamb has declined to take part in all of the team’s voluntary workouts this offseason amid the contract dispute. And as the team moves into mandatory minicamp this week, NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Lamb will still not be joining the team due to his contract situation.
“Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb, still seeking a contract extension, is not expected to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp that opens today and continues this week,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Since the team’s minicamp is mandatory, unlike the OTAs and workouts that Lamb skipped previously this offseason, he will be subject to fines for his lack of attendance. In total, Lamb will rack up roughly $100,000 in fines for missing all of the team’s mandatory minicamp.
Needless to say, it sounds like he has no intention of rejoining the team until his contract is done.
