Stefon Diggs and Case Keenum spent one season together with the Minnesota Vikings back in 2017. Now, with Diggs joining the Houston Texans this season, the two are reuniting. And it sounds like Keenum is still impressed with Diggs’ explosiveness.
During a recent interview with KPRC 2 in Houston, Case Keenum did not hold back his praise for the superstar wide receiver as he claimed that he “hasn’t lost a step” since he last played with him back in 2017.
“Yeah, it’s really cool to get back out there and see Stefon on the practice field and to watch him absolutely do some dirty things on some routes that I haven’t seen anybody be able to do,” Keenum told KPRC 2. “He’s a dynamic player and he hasn’t lost a step. If anything, he has gotten more savviness and can put some extra sauce on some routes when he needs to and win. He’s done a great job of continuing to build his craft and work his tools, his tool set, and I’m excited to see what he can do in the fall.”
Obviously, Keenum will not be throwing to Diggs barring an unfortunately injury to starter C.J. Stroud. But it sounds like he’s still excited to have Diggs joining the team.
