Cam Newton has been having an incredible year so far this season and today was no different. He did throw two interceptions today but for the most part, he was on the money. He hit his receivers in tight spaces all day and was throwing the ball so hard, the Legion of Boom had no shot to break up the passes.
On their last, and game winning drive, Newton drove the Panthers 80 yards down the field to put Carolina up for good. On the day, Newton threw for 269 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for 30 yards on seven carries for a touchdown. The win today pushed the Panthers to 5-0 and they, now, have to be the favorite in the NFC.
Here’s the game winning dime from Newton to Greg Olson.
