Calvin Johnson will be remembered as one of the best receivers in NFL history. The six-time Pro Bowler racked up 731 catches, 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns in just nine seasons with the Lions.
He will also be known, albeit on a much smaller scale but still a notable one, for launching one piece of the NFL’s asinine catch rule. In Week 1 of the 2010 season, Johnson appeared to give the Lions a last-minute victory at Chicago by hauling in a 35-yard touchdown catch.
He clearly completed the catch before dropping it as he got up from the Soldier Field turf. NOPE.
