Over the past few years, the Buffalo Bills have been one of the most dominant teams in the entire league with a truly generational quarterback in Josh Allen. But they have been able to even advance to the Super Bowl with Allen as the team’s quarterback for one clear reason: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
As NFL analyst Ben Baldwin pointed out on social media, the Buffalo Bills have the widest and most dominant point differential of any team in the league over the last four seasons, proving themselves as arguably the most dominant team in the league over that stretch. But because they’ve run into Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs three times, they haven’t actually won anything of substance.
“The Bills have the 2nd-best QB of his generation. Over the past 4 seasons, the Bills have outscored their opponents more than any other team by an absolute mile. But their 3 best teams ran into Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs 3 times and they have nothing to show for it,” Baldwin said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is pretty horrible news for the Buffalo Bills to be one of the most dominant teams in the league over a four-year stretch with absolutely nothing to show for it, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.
"Just score 40 every game" is not an answer grounded in reality. https://t.co/Edz2tmW7DG

Over those 4 seasons, the #Bills have had 13 players selected to the initial Pro Bowl Roster.
That's an average of 3.3 players per season that make the Pro Bowl for a team that, on average, outscores opponents by 157.3 through the Regular Season. https://t.co/Nir02UMV3p

Some 49er fans might reflect on this, rather than call for people's jobs after yesterday's gut wrenching OT loss https://t.co/7MncGPHKaR

"Franchise altering talent" takes on a whole new meaning when it's altering more than 1 franchise. https://t.co/z0CwVvdj7a

Been moving this way for most of the season, but certainly going to position as a pro-Josh Allen account going into next year. Agree with Ben he's the clear QB2 to Mahomes, yet zero SB appearances and zero MVPs https://t.co/MlvSkw1Dwe

We’ll have to see if next year is finally the season the Bills are able to accomplish something with their generation quarterback.
