Ever since he entered the league in 2022 and took over the starting quarterback job for the San Francisco 49ers at the end of that season, Brock Purdy has been one of the more controversial players in the league with some seeing him as one of the best and most dominant quarterbacks in the league while others see him merely as a system quarterback. It seems like Niners star Brandon Aiyuk falls into the former category.
During a recent interview on The Pivot podcast, Brandon Aiyuk did not hold back as he offered some pretty strong praise for Brock Purdy as he said that “the talent is real” and that he makes a big impact on the locker room.
“The guys can feel his confidence, feel his energy, they can feel the preparation, you can feel it’s real and the talent is real. I can’t say enough about that dude. He’s nice,” Aiyuk said.
Purdy led the team to the Super Bowl in just his first full season as a starter following a devastating shoulder injury. Needless to say, he is off to a pretty strong start to his NFL career, and it sounds like his teammates recognize that.
