During his NFL career, when Booger McFarland had to go, he had to go – even if it was in his football gear.
During ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast, the current ESPN analyst and former NFL defensive end discussed New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. leaving the field to use the bathroom during the second half of the team’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. McFarland admitted he didn’t need to leave the field when he had to urinate during his playing days. Instead, he just sat on the bench and “do your business.”
“These diva wide-receivers wanted to go to the bathroom. As a defensive lineman, we didn’t go to the bathroom, you sat on the bench and did your business and you got up.”
Well, that answers that.
Beckham Jr. isn’t a diva for taking a bathroom break, as Booger suggested. When you got to go, you got to go. Peeing in your pants shouldn’t be considered a football guy move, but I’m guessing it is.
Please, nobody, ask McFarland what he had to do when he had to take a poop.
